Harlan Hankins earns national honor

JOHNSTOWN – When it comes to his way of life, Harlan Hankins has always been one to get down on his hands and knees.
That applies to his career as both a dryland farmer and assistant wrestling coach at Roosevelt High School.

Fund set up for Roosevelt's 189 lb. senior, Nathan Heuer, as he battles cancer
Nathan Heuer has his hand raised by an official, indicating his overcoming another foe this wrestling season. A senior at Roosevelt High School in Johnstown, Heuer had built a 29-2 record this season before being diagnosed with cancer last week. JOHNSTOWN – Top priority for one of Colorado’s top-ranked wrestlers has suddenly changed.
A couple of weeks ago, Nathan Heuer had his sights set on winning a second straight state championship. The Roosevelt High School senior is now aiming to beat cancer.
